10 Days of Dhul-Hijja
Ibn Abbas (may Allah be pleased with him) reported that the Prophet of Allah (may the blessings and peace of Allah be upon him) said:
" There are no days in which good deeds are more beloved to Allah than the first ten days of Dhul-Hijja." The people asked : "Not even Jihad for the sake of Allah?" The Prophet said: "Not even Jihad for the sake of Allah, except in the case of a man who went out to fight, giving himself and his wealth for the cause, and came back with nothing."

When Allah tells us that these days are His most beloved . . . then there must be something extra special about them. Take advantage of them. The reward Allah gives for good deeds done for His Pleasure in these 10 days is greater than at any other time of the year !!!
What deeds can we do ?
1.
FASTING . . . Why not fast all of the first 9 days? And it was
narrated that fasting the 9th day, the day of Arafa, deletes the
previous year's sins
2. TAHLEEL, TAKBEER and TAHMEED . . . Saying La ilaaha ill-Allaah, Allahu Akbar and Alhamdulilah. Its was narrated the Ibn Omar and Abu Huraira, may Allah be pleased with them both, used to say "Allahu Akbar, Allahu Akbar, Allahu Akbar, La ilaaha ill-Allah, Allahu Akbar, wa lil-Alah el Hamd." Let your tongue be constant in remembering Allah in these 10 days.
3. OFFERING A SACRIFICE . . . Remember: Whoever intends to offer a sacrifice should not cut his hair or nailis from the begginnig of the ten days until he offers his sacrifice. This applies even if you delegate someone else to make the sacrifice for you.
4. ALL GOOD DEEDS . . . Praying on time, Sunna and Night prayers, Dhuha prayer, Reading Quran, Giving Charity, Honoring Parents, Kindness to Relatives & Neighbours, Helping fellow muslims, Sending Blessings on the Prophet (pbuh), Bringing peace between 2 people, Visiting the sick, Forgiving those who hurt you, Do3a2 for our brothers and sisters in Palestine and Iraq...
Gentle breezes of Allah's Mercy will be descending during these 10 days . . . Let His Mercy find you involved in the deeds that please Him.
